Welcome
Everyone has been touched in some way by breast cancer, and recoiled from the touch. No family should lose a mother prematurely. Or a dear friend, sister, wife, daughter, co-worker. No one of us, just diagnosed, should have to look at the mirror in the morning and say, "Will I survive?" Everyone deserves a lifetime: We feel it deep in our bones.
This is why we invite you to join us on our annual 5k Run and 3k Walk on Saturday, May 8, 2010 in order to help raise funds to benefit all of those who help fight the battle against breast cancer every day. Come show your support among friends and family in beautiful Bethany Beach. You can even bring your four-legged friends along as long as they are on a leash. The more the merrier!

Pre-registration for the event is available online and costs $25 for adults and $15 for children 10 and under. There will also be free t-shirts for all participants. You can also register the day of the event when sign-up and check-in begins at 8:00 a.m.The 5k run will begin at 9:00 a.m., RAIN OR SHINE, with the 3k run beginning shortly after at 9:10 a.m. Water will be provided for all participants during the event. At it's completion, a post-event celebration will take place where a healthy breakfast will be provided along with music, raffles and the sale of event t-shirts to further help the cause.
How do the beneficiaries utilize the contributions?
Net proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, to fund breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment. Net proceeds will also benefit the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund, to provide a special field of interest fund for breast cancer initiatives.

If you wish to help in another way, we are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers who can help with the setup and breakdown of the event, the handling of the registration process in the morning, and the support and cheering on of all the event participants at the end of the run/walk.
